NAPLES Five Collier County public school students have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists.
They are Stephen Collins and Stetson Gafford of Barron Collier High School; Grant Robinson of Gulf Coast High; Marina Conover of Lely High; and Amelia Krauss of Naples High.
The five are among about 16,000 other semifinalists in the 54th Annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Semifinalists now can compete for some 8,200 Merit Scholarship awards, worth more than $35 million, to be offered in the spring.
