The Marco Eagles cheerleaders get to perform for the home crowd again with the Eagles football teams hosting First Baptist Academy on Saturday at Winterberry Park.
The Eagles cheerleaders have two peewee, junior and senior squads.
“It was an exciting first week,” said cheerleading coach Lyndsi Koszo, who is assisted by Kristi West.
Cheerleaders range in age from five to 13. There are at least 10 cheerleaders for each team. The youngest cheerleaders perform at the peewee games at 8 and 9 a.m. The junior cheerleaders perform at 10 and 11:30 a.m., while the senior girls perform at 1 and 2:30 p.m. The junior cheerleaders are featured in Wednesday’s Eagle. On Oct. 1 will be the peewee cheerleaders. In Friday’s Eagle the peewee football teams will be featured, along with highlights of all of last week’s games on Marco Island.
