Two legislators will reach across the aisle Friday for a press conference decrying the potential lease of Alligator Alley.
State Sen. Burt Saunders, R-Naples, and Dave Aronberg, D-Greenacres, today announced their intention to hold a 10:30 a.m., press conference in Lee County. A press release issued by Aronberg's office said the two senators would "discuss the Florida Department of Transportation's intent to sell Alligator Alley and the Senators' latest efforts to enforce transparency."
The press release begins by asking, "Should a state agency be able to withhold documents pertaining to a multi-million dollar project potentially impacting all of Florida's taxpayers?"
The press conference will be held at the Main Street entrance to the Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, at 10:30 a.m.
