Looking to get USTA and Florida sanctioned points to move up the tennis ladder?
A good way is to play in the city’s Fall National Tennis Rating program championships.
Sponsored by the city’s Racquet Club, the tourney runs Oct. 10 to 12. The event follows an earlier junior tennis tourney to get rating points.
Competition will be in men’s 3.5 to 5.0 singles; men’s 3.0 to 5.0 doubles; women’s 2.5 to 4.5 singles and women’s 3.5 to 4.5 singles.
The tournament fee is $40 for singles and $20 each for doubles. All entrants must belong to the USTA. For information on membership go to www.usta.com.
