MICA: Jazz on the beach

The Marco Island Civic Association is proud to present the very talented musicians of the Lely High School Jazz Band this Saturday at the Marco Island Residents’ Beach.

The concert will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. and all Residents’ Beach members are invited. Please bring your Residents’ Beach ID, a lawn chair and/or a blanket. Paradise Grill will offer the wide variety of items on their menu.

This is your chance to hear the talent of these young musicians first hand. They have worked hard for years, perfecting their craft. This year, in particular, they have spent hours and hours practicing and training under instructor John Stein.

Many of these Lely Trojans High School band members are from Marco and attended the Marco Island Charter Middle School, where some of them first learned to play an instrument! The Lely High School Jazz Band is chock-full of home grown talent.

We invite you to join us for two hours of jazz and then some! Come out Saturday evening, enjoy dinner or a snack at Residents’ Beach, and listen to the fine tunes presented by the very talented students that make up the Lely High School Jazz Band.

Also, don’t forget to mark your calendar for April 26 at 5 p.m. Please join us for the “more mature” musicians that comprise the group Magic Moments.
