Where was the last place you dined out? How did you like it?

I went to Tommy Bahama’s. The fish was very nice, and so was the service. I like the ambiance of sitting outside. I also like their store. I bought some shirts and hats as presents. It’s a happy place. While I was there, I even saw a graduation party arrive in a limousine. Those kids really had a ball.

What other restaurants do you like?

I recently celebrated my birthday at the Tarpon Bay Hyatt Regency Hotel, at Coconut Point, in Estero. They have a lovely atmosphere and food. We had a unique macaroni and lobster appetizer, and I ordered shrimp from the menu. We were entertained by Tarpon Bay opera students, and the whole party was wonderful.

What is your favorite cuisine?

Italian; especially the sausages.

What qualities do you look for in a fine restaurant?

I take cleanliness, good food, service and atmosphere as a given; it’s not like I’m popping into a fast-food place. Presentation is very important.
