Wrestlers are selected to the All-CCAC Team by competing in the CCAC Wrestling Championship Tournament. Lely chose to send its best wrestlers to another tournament on the day of the CCAC Championships. By CCAC rules, those individuals who did not compete in the CCAC Championships would not be eligible for All-CCAC first team selection.
That decision in turn affects the number of ALL Sports Trophy Points Lely would earn for the year.
Lely earned just one point for wrestling, however Lely is not in contention for the CCAC All Sports Trophy.
Its fall and winter sports point total is 49, while Barron Collier is ahead with 101. Next is Gulf Coast at 83 and Naples at 74. Lely will participate in the CCAC Wrestling Championships in 2010.
