The girls and boys did well at the Charlotte Invitational on Friday. The girls placed second and the boys third out of 12 teams.
The girls scored 110 points, finishing second to host Charlotte, which had 138.5 points. Kreda Reseau won the discus with a throw of 93-feet-7-inches. Amber Imm won the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:28.04. The 4X100 relay team of Liciane St. Jean, Angela Arfuso, Andrene Dume, and Lisa Nicolas won with a time of 51.43.
Second places were earned by Liciane St. Jean in the triple jump, Andrene Dume in the 300 hurdles, and our 4X800 relay team.
On the boys side, they scored 74.5 points, finishing behind host Charlotte and Bishop Verot.
Daniel Veintimilla won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.3 seconds. Jeff Charelus won the triple jump with a leap of 42-feet-8-inches and came in second in the long jump. The 4X800 meter relay team also placed second.
The team will compete in the Wally Keller Invitational at Charlotte High School on Friday as the last tune-up before districts at Palmetto Ridge on April 24.
