Planning of Veterans’ Community Park continues with community meetings

Veterans' Community Park Master Plan Alternative 2 - In The Round:       Centrally located between Elkcam Circle and the canal is a circle lawn area abutted by a circular memorial area with an arbor backdrop. A cantilevered promenade will be featured along with an amphitheater and two sculptured areas located on the main lawn's perimeter. The performing arts center is located off Park Avenue with two lawn areas adjacent along with the farmers market area.

— The Veterans’ Community Park Master Plan Committee meets 6 p.m., Wednesday, in the Community Room, 51 Bald Eagle Drive, downstairs from the police station. The committee is hosting the evening meeting seeking additional community input, following their 1 p.m. meeting at Mackle Park, 1361 Andalusia Terrace. Both meetings will include consensus building for the future of the park.
