U.S. Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart on 'One on One''

Cuba, immigration, economy are the top issues

If it will help the Cuban people, why does U.S. Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Miami, think President Barack Obama's easing of travel and money-sending restrictions to that nation such a bad idea?

If the Castro regime is ending and normalization of relations with the U.S. is around the corner, why not start there -- while allowing more cell phone service into Cuba?

What is the status of the U.S. economy and are the stimulus packages helping?

Did Obama do the right thing in Somalia?

Diaz-Balart, whose parents are from Cuba, gives his views on all of that and more on the 30-minute "One on One with Jeff Lytle" program which airs on Comcast Cable’s My TV8 Sunday at noon and is available anytime at

Lytle is the editorial page and Perspective section editor of the Daily News.

The interview was conducted Wednesday morning at Comcast studios in Naples.
