Citrus Park: Saturday night dances a hit

Tequila Tropics is the theme of the dinner dance on Saturday, April 18th. If you have friends outside the park that would enjoy our Saturday evenings at the clubhouse, this is a great time of the year to invite them. There is plenty of space and lots of room for dancing, too. Jason DeSimone will keep you swinging Saturday night like he did at the party in the clubhouse after the Mardi Gras parade. You won’t want to miss out, get your tickets now.

The third annual Pool Party at the clubhouse pool is scheduled for Sunday, April 19th from 4 – 6 PM. This year the 50/50 raffle will benefit the Liberty Youth Ranch. Entertainment is provided by Rodd Snook. Liberty Youth Ranch will have a representative on hand to give us an update on their progress. Just bring appetizers or dessert to share (finger foods). Don’t forget your chairs and your beverage of choice. Call Judy with any questions at 949-6971.

There were 36 folks that participated in the Texas Hold’em Tournament sponsored by the Mardi Gras committee. The winners of the tournament were Paul Mayea, Tom Davis and Bernice Yochim. The Mardi Gras committee is to be commended for the great job they did in organizing this event.

Wii enthusiasts are off to a great start. They are playing on Saturdays and Sundays. If bowling or other games are of interest to you give Bea Luiz a call. She can fill you in on current play times or check the activities board in the rec hall.

Isn’t it kind of nice to have a bit of a slower pace to enjoy all that Citrus Park has to offer? A little well deserved time at the pool soaking up the sun and taking a quick dip to cool off is an afternoon well spent. A bike ride after dinner in the evenings is a great way to get a little fresh air before bedtime. Just sit back relax and enjoy.
