The Marco Island Charter Middle School girls soccer teams rang up victories over First Baptist Academy on Tuesday.
The varsity moved its record to 5-0-1, while the JVs are now 5-1.
The varsity defeated FBA. 4-1. It was a great passing game and very exciting to watch.
The girls were very excited to finally play on their home field and it showed!
Goals were scored by Savannah Spina, Claire Orgass, Michela Smith and Claudine Bolsen. Cassidy Penzo also stepped up to fill in for goalkeeper Franchesca Archaki.
The girls have really improved their overall game since the beginning of the season. They are a fantastic group of girls to work with.
The JVs won, 4-0. Goals were scored by Jessica Andrade and Lexie Lundquist who had a hat trick, scoring three times.
The entire team played well, considering they had spring break the week before. The girls really work hard and listen to the coaches’ instructions and put them into action immediately.
The Lady Eagles have home games against Community School on Monday and Seacrest Country Day on Tuesday, then travel to St. Ann in Naples on Thursday.
The home games have the JV team playing at 4 p.m. on Monday and 4:30 on Tuesday. The varsity plays at 5 p.m. on Monday and 5:30 on Tuesday. At St. Ann the JV game is at 4:15 p.m. and the varsity plays at 5:30.
