MARCO ISLAND — With convincing by several Marco Island restaurant owners, the city's policy on the ratio between seats and required parking spaces is about to be reviewed for the third time in less than four years on Marco.
The issue of disparity and perceived unfairness between free-standing restaurants and those in shopping centers will be scrutinized by Council in the coming weeks. If restaurant owners' concerns of unfairness are shown to be founded, the issue will likely be reviewed by the Planning Board before City Council can change the current regulations.
