Four qualify for Pitch, Hit & Run regional

The City Parks & Rec Department hosted the annual Pitch, Hit & Run competition on Saturday at the baseball field behind Tommie Barfield Elementary.

The nationwide program is sponsored by Major League Baseball and Aquafina. The event provides boys and girls the opportunity to showcase their pitching, hitting and running abilities.

Winners included Oliver Wasem, 7 to 8-year-old division, Jay Vanderjagt, 9-10 division, Jordan Barrett, 11-12 division and Devin Noel, 13-14 division. The winners advance to regional competition.
