Library hours trimmed to open new South Regional Library

Collier County Commissioners voted to adjust library hours throughout the Collier County Public Library system Tuesday morning. This will allow for the opening of the new South Regional Library, according to a prepared release Tuesday afternoon by Camden Smith, a spokeswoman for Collier County.

Trimming the business hours will allow South Regional Library, which is located on Lely Cultural Parkway, off Collier Boulevard in East Naples, to open its doors on May 15 without closing other library branches.

Effective May 1, Marco Island Branch Library will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and closed Saturdays and Sundays.

South Regional Library, beginning May 15, will be open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday and closed on Sundays.

The East Naples Branch Library will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday. It will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
