Last week was a tough week. The varsity had three games and JV had three games and each team was down 2 or 3 players due to injury.
I had to send a couple of sophomores down so the JV team would have enough players and I ended up playing with nine or 10 players on varsity. Everyone did get a good amount of playing time.
The JV team played well in their three games. They lost 3-2 in extra innings against Naples and 3-0 to Barron and beat Golden Gate 4 -2.
The varsity team struggled through the week, losing all three games and did not play very well in any of the three. Only having three seniors has made this a tough year.
Senior Jake Jarrett played very well all week, as did sophomore Max Tyler.
We host Island Coast at 7 p.m., Wednesday, and district play starts next week.
