Program founder Pierre Dulaine, who is depicted by Antonio Banderas in the movie “Take the Lead,” will be the emcee. The public is invited.

J.L. Wallace completes construction of clubhouse at Bradenton country club
Fort Myers-based J.L. Wallace Inc. has completed construction of the clubhouse at River Strand Golf and Country Club in Heritage Harbour, located on Grand Estuary Trail in Bradenton.
The 39,750-square-foot clubhouse, built for Lennar Homes, is the focal point of the River Strand development. Amenities include a full-service restaurant and bar, commercial kitchen, card room, billiard room, snack bar, golf and tennis pro shops, golf cart and bag storage, fitness center, aerobics room, and locker rooms. The project also includes more than 4,000 square feet for a swimming pool, resistance pool and spa.
David Grossman of J.L. Wallace served as the project manager, Jim Faulkner was superintendent and Robbyn Spears was project manager assistant. Architectural design services were provided by Titsch & Associates, Inc.

Pulte Homes recognized with award
The South Florida Division of Pulte Homes is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with a 2009 ENERGY STAR Leadership in Housing Award. This award recognizes the important contribution Pulte Homes has made to energy-efficient construction and environmental protection by building 389 ENERGY STAR qualified homes last year.
Collectively, these homes will save customers approximately $174,000 on utility bills each year.
The environmental benefits of these ENERGY STAR qualified homes are equal to the equivalent of:
Eliminating the emissions from 191 vehicles; saving 1,152,996 pounds of coal; planting 315 acres of trees; or saving the environment 2,261,257 pounds of CO2 per year.
To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency set by the EPA. These homes are at least 15 percent more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes.
