NAPLES — A celebration of the life of 21-year-old Kyle Armantrout, who was killed in a hit-and-run accident over the weekend, is slated for 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club, 851 Gulf Shore Boulevard North, Naples.
The celebration is being held in the hotel’s Sunset Terrace room, and is open to the public. There will be signs in the lobby directing attendees to the room.
Armantrout was run down on Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of 3427 Enterprise Ave.
Collier County sheriff’s investigators arrested 18-year-old Jack Edward Dyson on Monday morning and charged him with a felony hit-and-run charge. Additional charges are pending against Dyson, and the Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for two additional people believed to be involved in the case.
Armantrout’s father, Fred Armantrout, 41, said Tuesday that his family is struggling with Kyle’s death.
"I don’t think that we’ll ever get back to normal," Fred Armantrout said. "We as a family, we have to get back to living. That is what Kyle would have wanted."
