MARCO ISLAND — Weather is messing with the fun scheduled on Marco Island today. The city's "Movies in the Park" event is moving to a new venue tonight and the Joy of Giving/Marco Marriott Beach Festival is postponed.
Movie in the park
Due to weather conditions today, the Movies in the Park tonight has been moved to Mackle Park on Andalusia Terrace from Veterans’ Park, City Public Information Coordinator Lisa Douglass announced. The movie will start at 6 p.m. and snacks will be available for a small fee.
The movie is “Elf” staring Will Ferrell. It is free and open to all. Bring chairs as seating is limited.
Beach Festival postponed to January
The Marco Island Beach Festival was also rescheduled due to weather. The event is now scheduled Jan. 23 and 24.
The Marco Island Marriott and The Joy of Giving have joined forces to help support underprivileged children in Collier County this holiday season.
It was once scheduled today and Saturday, but is now rescheduled for a Saturday and Sunday in January.
Contact 394-2511 for more information on the event.
