City of Marco Island
On Friday, city offices will be closed, in observance of Christmas. Offices will re-open on Monday, Dec. 28, at 8 a.m.
The Parks and Recreation centers, will be closed or will not operate Friday, but will resume regular operating hours on Saturday and Sunday.
U.S. Postal Service
Closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Most U.S. post offices will also shorten their retail lobby hours on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and close at noon. Regular mail delivery is unaffected by this change and is made as usual on Dec. 24.
Collier County government offices
Closed Thursday and Friday. Also closed New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Libraries will close 6 p.m. New Year’s eve, Dec. 31.
Trash collection
Recycling and trash collection will not be available Christmas day. There are no make up days in the unincorporated area of Collier County, City of Everglades and City of Marco Island.
Collection will be on your next regularly scheduled pickup day.
Greater Marco Family YMCA
The YMCA’s holiday hours are 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Dec. 31. Preschool and Holiday Camp close at 3 p.m.
The YMCA will be closed Friday and Jan. 1.
Daily News and Marco Eagle
For regular business operations, the Naples Daily News main office, 1100 Immokalee Rd., Naples, the Marco office and Bonita location will close early, at 3 p.m., on Christmas Eve and remain closed Friday. The Marco Eagle office will remain closed until 8 a.m. Monday.
All offices will also close early, at 3 p.m., New Years Eve and be closed Jan. 1.
The Marco Eagle will re-open as usual Jan. 4.
