Photos highlight new basketball league teams

The Marco Island Optimist Basketball League is going full speed with games on Friday nights and Saturday mornings.

While the basketball league coincides with the Marco Island Charter Middle School, its target is kids from 5 to 13, with the older groups made up of kids not on the Charter School boys or girls teams, who also need further instruction and playing time.

The photo feature today is on the league’s second and third grade division.
