Star-Spangled Sing-a-Long and Ice-Cream Social: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, Disseler Hall, United Church of Marco Island. An evening of folk singing and patriotic songs to honor our nation’s birthday. Group singing of our national folk songs may be a dying pleasure due to the invasive nature of television in our lives. The United Church’s Minister of Sacred Arts, Dr. Betty Pursley is on a one-woman national crusade to keep American folk songs alive. The community is invited to the hour of fun, song and delicious ice cream treats. Free.
One Service: 10 a.m., July 5, Wesley United Methodist Church will combine their 9 a.m. contemporary and 10:30 a.m. traditional worship services. Two services will resume on July 12.
