The dead body of a Marco Island man found at an Alligator Alley rest stop has been ruled a suicide.

As of 1 p.m. today, Sheriff’s officials said there’s no evidence of foul play in the death of an individual found at mile marker 69 this morning. No additional information on the victim was available.

A dead body has been found on the northbound side of Interstate 75’s mile-marker 69 rest stop this morning.
Collier County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Kristi Lester confirmed that deputies are on scene and that a full investigation is just getting underway.
“The call came in at 9:18 a.m.,” said Lester. “The caller contacted us to say a body was located.
