The ace in the hole for the Knights of Columbus on June 20 is children’s education and local charities.
That’s what the funds will go for in the four-person scramble, sponsored by the San Marco Council 6344 at the Royal Palm Country Club in Naples, beginning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Sing-in time begins at 7 a.m.
It will be the council’s 35th anniversary, second in age only to the Eagle Open, which celebrated its 36th anniversary three weeks ago.
Entry fee is $100, which includes golf and cart, continental breakfast, lunch and awards. There also will be the annual hole-in-one competition, with a cash prize of $10,000 for anyone scoring an ace. Professional golfers are not eligible for prizes.
