A couple surveys the unsual beach masterpiece, created by two visiting graduate students.
Beachgoers have been delighted and fascinated by this ogre-like creation designed and sculpted by two visiting university graduates, and situated in front of the Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort. The unidentified students, one a sculptor and the other an engineering graduate, told the visiting Goff family of Orlando they made the sculpture during a vacation before heading off “into the real world” to find work. At the time of being photographed on Monday, the sand sculpture had survived at least one drenching Marco Island thunderstorm
