What are your favorite movies?

I’d have to go with “Cool Hand Luke.” First of all, it’s a classic movie with a perfect plot. I love it. It can do no wrong. I’d also say “Casino Royale.” You can watch that movie again and again and always pick up something new that you didn’t catch the last time. It has a very complex plot, so you never get bored.

What qualities do you look for in a good movie? A good movie is one you can sink your teeth into. It has to be relatively realistic, because you have to believe it. Unpredictably is important too; I like not knowing what is going to happen. Being able to predict a movie is cliché. A movie with a lot of suspense is good, otherwise it’s not exciting and you get bored. There should be a level of depth and complexity in a good movie. You should have an emotional connection with the character and the storyline. You should be on the journey with the character, you know? If you’re not invested in them, there’s no point. A good soundtrack can’t hurt, either.

What is your favorite cinema in Naples?

I would say Hollywood 20. It’s the biggest one in Naples, and you feel very safe because there are always so many cops around! They’ve redone it a lot; now the seats are really comfortable and they have good snacks. You can’t see a movie without popcorn, candy, soda, all that. Plus, I love all the video games in the lobby. If you are really early for a movie or are waiting for someone, you can sit and play video games. Sometimes that’s better than the movie itself!
