There was plenty of blarney tossed around at Paddy Murphy’s Golf Tournament, benefitting the Lely Touchdown Club on Sunday at the Mustang Golf in Lely Resort.
Steve Pricer, Lely varsity head football coach, said there was a good turnout. He was pleased with the number of hole sponsors and prizes donated for the event.
More than $5,000 was raised from the event.
Rookies Bar & Grill took first place, with the team including Sean and Terry Shea, Mike Green and Dan Collarty.
The JJ Taylor team shot there way to a second-place finish, with the team including Matt Allen, Max Peugilli, Mark Reese and Marty Kenny.
Coming in third was Paddy Murphy’s Irish Pub team of Mike McDermott, Mike O’Regan, John McNaboe and Brendan Shea.
Sean Hyland had the longest drive and closest to the pin was O’Regan.
