Marco Police Briefs: June 25, 2009

— THEFT OF BICYCLES

Two bicycles were reported stolen from Mackle Park, 1361 Andalusia Terrace. The bikes went missing some time between 2 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., June 17. Estimated value of the bikes is $125.

WARRANT ARREST

John Joseph Nardone, 21, of 457 Tallwood St., Apt. 107, Marco, was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Collier County for failure to appear in court. He was taken to jail at 7:40 p.m., June 21.

THEFT OF TRAILER

Christopher Hamblet reported that someone stole his boat trailer from his home at 901 Iris Court between June 9 and June 23. Estimated value of the trailer is $1000.

THEFT OF KAYAK

Norman Ruiz-Castaneda reported that his kayak valued at approximately $800 was taken from the beach area at 540 S. Collier Blvd. between 8 p.m., June 22 and 5 p.m., June 23.

WARRANT ARREST

Police saw a suspicious vehicle parked in the rear lot of Reflections Bar near O’Malley’s Alley and East Elkcam Circle at 12:05 a.m., June 24. Michael Simpson, of 673 West Palm Lower Unit, Goodland, had an active warrant out of Collier County for failure to appear in court. Simpson was arrested and taken to the Naples Jail Center.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

A vehicle was stopped for a traffic offense near 2000 San Marco Road at 9:45 a.m., June 24, leading to the arrest of the driver. Brandon Ison, 25, of 613 Sunset, Goodland, was arrested and released on a notice to appear in court for driving with a suspended license.

DUI, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Allison Bergen, 49, of 1841 Olds Court, was arrested following a traffic stop on S. Barfield Drive and Winterberry Drive at 9:27 p.m., June 24. She was charged with DUI and possession of a drug without a prescription.

WARRANT ARREST, FAILURE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT

Nathan Mark Hovey, 29, of 1062 Hartley Avenue Unit 104, Marco Island, was arrested, near 500 Eden Court at 2:45 a.m., June 25. He was wanted for an active warrant out of Jacksonville, Fla. for failure to pay child support. Hovey was taken to jail.
