Return to the wild

Several volunteers and the Conservancy of Southwest Florida Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic team released a bobcat back into the wild near the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge June 26. This bobcat was admitted on New Years Day, the first arrival of 2009 to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic. The bobcat kitten was found wandering on a side street with a littermate near Pine Ridge and Airport Roads in Naples. “This is what it is all about,” said Joanna Fitzgerald Vaught, Conservancy wildlife clinic director. “We’ve cared for the bobcat and now she gets to go back into the wild.”
