The Eagles picked up two victories last week, giving us a 3-1 record.
We have won three straight games, after an opening loss.
In the first game we played league opponent First Baptist Academy.
Jeff Leonia came up big at the plate. His three-run home run in the third inning, followed by a three-run double in the fourth, gave the Eagles the spark they needed to defeat the Lions from FBA, 11 to 5.
Nick Ronquette logged the win on the mound as Kenny Moss came on in the fifth to earn the save.
In the field, left fielder Miles Roberts relay to shortstop Kyle Mitchussson, then to Adam Hurdis at third base for a tag out on what would have been a triple was the highlight. Greg Trzyna continues to play solid at second.
In a non-league game against the Marco Island Cal-Ripken Pirates, the Eagles took advantage of inconsistent pitching, along with key hits to notch their third victory, 6-4.
Kenny Moss continues to sizzle at the plate. After 10 at bats Moss is batting a perfect 1000 and had a drive to deep left field to the warning track that was only five feet from clearing the fence. Will Bott had an over-the-shoulder catch that would have made Willy Mays proud.
Next up, a rematch against at Seacrest at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
