Learning at citizen’s academy
Today was the graduation of the first Marco Island Citizen’s Police Academy.
The entire program was excellent. Chief Thom Carr, Captain Dave Baer and the entire Marco Island Police Force put in many hours to make this experience a wonderful success.
We learned the inside workings of the department and gained so much from their experiences and instruction. I hope that they will continue this wonderful program and that many, many people will have the opportunity to learn and take part in the community service that they are providing.
Many thanks to each police officer that put in the extra time and effort to provide us with this great experience.
By the way, every officer in the department was involved in giving us this program. The next time that you encounter a Marco Island police officer, please thank them for the wonderful job that they do keeping Marco Island one of the last Paradises.
