$5 million cash on display next week at Seminole Casino Immokalee

Seminole Casino Immokalee Celebrates its 15th anniversary with a $5 million traveling cash display public debut on Monday at 11 a.m.

The public will have an opportunity to get a close-up view of a record-setting traveling cash display, the largest amount of money ever publicly showcased in a casino.

Casino spokesman Dan Mackey said the casino will be giving away $1 million to a "lucky winner" throughout the casinos with their players card. He added that the $1 million could only be won Immokalee during the promotion.

"To see $5 million dollars is pretty incredible," he said.

The exhibit consists of $100 bills encased in a 1,300-pound, custom-made $90,000 bullet-resistant Lexan showcase. It is being submitted to Guinness World Records for the designation of “Most Money on Display in a Casino,” according to a casino prepared statement.

It will be on display at Seminole Casino Immokalee from March 23 to 29, before traveling to other Seminole Casinos around the state.
