Marco Island Police Briefs: March 25, 2009

— CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, school property damage

Someone damaged a stairwell railing over the weekend at Marco Island Charter Middle School, 1401 Trinidad Avenue. Damage occurred sometime between 5 p.m. March 13 and 8 a.m. March 16. Estimated value of damage is $200.

THEFT OF BIMINI BOAT COVER

Mario Robert Carrara reported that someone removed a bimini cover from his boat at 1220 Antigua Court between 12 p.m. March 14 and 8:30 a.m. March 19. Estimated value of property stolen is $450.

THEFT OF BOAT MOTORS

Paul Waterhouse reported that someone stole two lower unit boat motors from a vessel docked at Calusa Island Marina, 385 Angler Drive, between 7 p.m. March 19 and 6 p.m. March 21. The boat motors are worth about $8,000.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 1700 Watson Road at 1:20 a.m. on March 22. Victim Dale Stephan reported that he was struck by Sharon Kay Phillippi, 48. Phillippi and Stepahn were both residing in the same home. She was arrested, charged with battery and taken to jail.

THEFT OF BIKE

James Seifert, 269 Vintage Bay Unit C20, reported that someone took his bike from a bicycle rack located in the garage at his home sometime between 5 p.m. March 16 and 9 a.m. March 21. Estimated value of the bike is $100.
