The Lely High School Band Boosters are hoping you can spend a Saturday in the park as they host the second annual Lely Car Show.
The show will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at Eagle Lakes Community Park, located just west of Lely Resort at 11565 E. Tamiami Trail.
Many local car clubs, including West Coast Muscle Car Club, Cool Cruisers of Southwest Florida, and the Naples/Marco Antique Automobile Club of America will have members displaying their cars. Expect to see a wide variety of vehicles, including muscle cars, custom cars, antique cars, hot rods, and even some rare, one-of-a-kind vehicles.
The cost to register a car is $10, and the charge for spectators will be $5. Concessions will be available.
The Lely Trojan Marching Band will perform at 11:30 a.m. and again at 12:45 p.m., with the drumline playing at various times in between. They have proudly performed in many local parades, so if you missed them here’s your chance to see this outstanding group of young musicians perform under the direction of John Stein.
Another highlight of the day will be the dunk tank, hosted by the Lely Touchdown Club. Many Lely staffers have graciously volunteered to be dunked. In addition, the Trojan baseball team will hold a speed throw. Come out and try your luck at these fun activities.
We hope to see you at the Lely Car Show.
