Financial class of Bonita Springs meets April 10

The next Financial Class of Bonita Springs meets Friday, April 10, from 10 a.m. until noon. The class is at Community Congregational Church, which is one mile south of Bonita Beach Road on U.S. 41 in North Naples.

The class meets once a month during the season. New members can join at anytime. This will be the last class for the season. Bring a friend or your spouse to attend.

Scheduled topics for the class include: the state of the economy, analysis of the financial markets, asset allocation, and stock and mutual fund investing.

The course is presented in an educational style format and is open to the public - geared to all levels of investors. Class instructor is Keith Moored, a local independent stock market and mutual fund analyst.

At the April 10 session, the guest speaker will be Jim Kerr, a local state attorney who will talk about wills, trusts, and tax planning. Also speaking is Doug Deavers, who will talk about long-term care programs.

New partner at Naples cleaner

Crown Cleaner’s Inc. has announced Kim Shimer as a new partner in the organization.

Kim grew up here in Naples with her brother Brian, who is the Head Coach of the U.S. Olympic Bob Sled team, and her parents Dee and Bud. Kim’s father has worked in the dry cleaning industry for more than 40 years.

Kim brings with her over 17 years experience in all aspects of the industry, from spot removal techniques, to customer relations, pressing, and delivery services. Her genuine personality will put you at ease instantly as you discover her abilities and her readiness to serve you.

She will be joining Terrie Timko, who as owned and operated Crown Cleaners Inc. for over 14 years, and is also skilled in all aspects of the dry cleaning business. The combined experience of these two ladies is over 41 years.
