letter to the Editor: Seeing green

Seeing green

Being a “newbie” on the Island, what in the world is that green stripe down Bald Eagle Drive from San Marco Road to Elkcam Circle? And when it was painted, cars then drove over the wet paint and streaked it all over the place.

I’m assuming it’s water soluble and the city is waiting for rain, which should happen in the next few months or so. In the meanwhile, couldn’t the city use one of those water trucks zooming around to wash it off? It it’s not water soluble, someone in the city deserves a rather significant dressing down to allow one of the main roads in Marco Island to be defaced like that for a rather lengthy period of time.

This is a beautiful island. Bald Eagle is disgusting right now. Anybody have an answer?

steve...it was the "st patricks" parade route...the city just does not have a "straight driver"....and who knows when it will wash off...it might be leftover paint from who knows where...we have mors problems than the "green line" rather the green squirmy...
