Kids, it seems, rate cell phones above all other electronic gadgets, including computers and game consoles.
That much was evident from our informal survey aimed at youngsters in the March 20 issue of the Eagle and on marconews.com.
We figured, let’s broaden the demographic, and pose the question generally. Let’s ask everyone.
Well, coming out tops in the indispensability stakes was the computer, with 55 percent (105 people) declaring it tops.
Next indeed was the cell phone with 17 percent of the vote (34 people), but surprisingly the phone only just beat out the statement “None of the above, I’m unshackled from ‘em all.”
That vote represented 15 percent (30 people) of the total, while 10 percent (18 people) said they rely equally on phones, computers and game consoles.
At the bottom of the bunch were game consoles by themselves, with 1 percent (just two people) admitting to being hooked on games above all other gadgetry.
Total votes were 189.
Thanks for participating, and if you enjoy polls, you’ll find new ones every week online at our marconews.com Web site.
