What is your favorite restaurant? Why?
I just ate at Handsome Harry’s, my favorite restaurant. The food is fabulous and they have great entertainment. I like to dine outdoors, to enjoy the tropical ambiance that Naples has to offer. I had the mussels in wine sauce, with Parmesan cheese; it was just the right portion. I also ordered another appetizer, the tomato mozzarella, with slices of tomato, mozzarella, topped with basil. To me, it’s all about the presentation.
What other restaurants do you like?
For dining inside, I like Truluck’s. I love their piano bar and the upscale atmosphere. When I lived in Atlanta, there were all sorts of great restaurants, but Atlanta has nothing on Naples.
What is your favorite cuisine?
Being here, it’s the seafood. Being from Rhode Island, I love it, and I couldn’t get fresh seafood in Atlanta. It’s all flown in.
What qualities do you look for in a fine restaurant?
Ambiance and good food, of course, but it’s got to be fun. My kids love Yabba’s, because you can eat outdoors in a fun setting and they have great seafood. It’s upscale, but not stuffy.
