What is your favorite movie you have seen recently? Why?
We loved “Slumdog Millionaire.” It was one of the better movies we’ve seen — totally different from most movies — so international, not Hollywood. The emotions went from one end to the other, but you ended in a happy mood, grateful for what we have.
Do you think movies today are getting better or worse?
There are some good movies being made today — “Slumdog Millionaire” is a great example — but so many films these days have more sex and violence, more bad language than necessary.
Do you watch movies on TV?
Usually, we like to go the theater. You get that whole experience, with the popcorn, and seeing it on the big screen. We don’t normally rent them, but we will buy one we want to have in our library.
What is your favorite movie genre?
I like family movies, or movies with a message, ones that teach you something, said Janet. Bob goes for action — he bought the DVD of “Casino Royale.”
What was your all-time favorite movie? I think the best movie ever was the “Sound of Music,” with Julie Andrews. It’s heart-warming, and the songs, the dances…we both watch it over and over.
