UPCOMING

New Pastor of Families Installation Service, 6 p.m., Sunday, at Marco Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Paul May will be installed as Pastor of Families. The Rev. Keith M. Kneeshaw, the Director of the New Church Network of Southwest Florida Presbytery, presiding.

Night of Insomnia, 5:30 p.m., May 22 to 23, at the First Baptist Church. Middle and high school students are invited to have a night of games, food and fun. This years all-night event will feature the band Jubilee and speaker Ray McElroy of the Indianapolis Colts. A charter bus will transport the youth to King Richard’s Park, a bowling alley and the roller-skating rink. The cost is $40. Call the youth group at Capri Christian Church, First Baptist Church, Marco Lutheran Church or Marco Presbyterian Church for details and to register. Space is limited. Please make your reservation before May 20.

SW Florida Men’s Teen Challenge Choir, 10 a.m., May 31, at New Life Community Church of God. The group of young men will give a presentation that will include personal stories, drama and song. Their presentation will replace the sermon.

Teen Challenge is a faith-based facility that provides prayer, counseling, a disciplined environment, teaching, recreation and job-skills training for teens whose lives have been affected by issues such as anger, rebellion, depression, drug use and/or abuse and other life controlling problems.

Vacation Bible Schools

- Camp St. Mark’s, 5 to 7:30 p.m., June 8 to 12 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Rising Kindergarten to fourth grade campers are invited to walk with Jesus. Kid friendly dinner at 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Stories, crafts, games and activities. Free. Pick up under the bell tower at 7:30 p.m. Bathing suit, towel, and clothing suitable for tie dying T-shirts are needed for Tuesday night. Pick up under the bell tower at 7:30 p.m. Closing assembly and family cook out on 5 p.m. Registration limited to the first 30 applicants.

- Wild Wood Forest, 5 to 7:45 p.m., June 8 to 12, at Marco Presbyterian Church. Young wilderness explorers age four through fifth grade are invited to discover the untamed nature of God. A simple supper will be provided from 5 to 5:30 p.m. each evening. Drama, crafts, games, music, and interactive Bible lessons. Free. Parents are invited to attend the 7:30 p.m. grand finale and ice cream social on Friday, June 12. Register before June 1 by calling the church office.
