Eye on the Y: Summer start means camp, kickers and a little rain

Disappointment, heartache, gloom, etc. Words cannot describe my feelings in having to cancel the Greater Marco YMCA Co-Ed Volleyball Championship Game scheduled for the previous Monday night.

The trophies were prepared and ready to be given to the winner, the teams had practiced to be ready to play and then the heavens opened up and here came the rain with lightning as an extra added attraction. So, the game has been rescheduled to 7 p.m., June 1 at the Y Airnasium. Come on out and root for your favorite team. Rookies Bar takes on ARA Insurance. Be there!

The Summer 2009 Y Co-ed Volleyball season starts on June 8. Your business can sponsor a team for only $325 for the season or sign up as an individual for only $75 and you will be assigned to a team.
