You Review TV: Robert Greer

What do you spend most time with — books, movies or television?

Television more than the others. I like going to the theater, but they make TV so easy. All you have to do is turn it on, if you can put up with the ads.

What is your favorite show? Why?

I have two favorites right now, “NCIS” and “American Idol.” Of course, they are on against each other at the same time. I like to be entertained, and though those two shows are very different, they both keep you entertained. I don’t use TiVo, so I’m stuck; I have to choose.

Do you watch movies on TV?

Yes, preferably without commercials. I have been considering getting some of the satellite channels, so as not to have to sit through all the commercials.

What was you all-time favorite TV show?

Well, I’m dating myself when I say this, but my all-time best show was “Ozzie and Harriet.” I also used to love the “Untouchables,” and Matt Dillon on “Gunsmoke.”

Do you think television today is getting better or worse?

Definitely, television today is worse than it used to be. There are just so many commercials, and some of the shows don’t even make sense.
