MARCO ISLAND — About 70 people attended Marco Island City Council candidate Larry Magel’s forum Friday night at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall.
Magel said the turnout was “quite gratifying as I understand these things normally don’t attract many people especially this early in the process.”
Campaign manager Al Diaz, a former Marco Island Charter Middle School board member and condo manager in Hideaway Beach, introduced Magel. The candidate then shared his campaign platform, which is largely built around making sound financial decisions with thorough analysis, before opening it up to questions from the audience.
“I was especially pleased to see (Collier County) Commissioner (Donna) Fiala appear, and make a few remarks,” Magel said.
