— City Councilman Chuck Kiester announced that he will be hosting a public forum on top city issues 7 p.m., Nov. 19. Kiester is one of the few members of Council who holds such events at least once a year to have open discussions with residents.

He announced the agenda in a prepared release Wednesday as follows:

- A review of proposed amendments to the City Charter. The amendments that may be included on a January ballot are the city’s spending cap, restrictions on approving individual high-cost projects, term limits for city council members, city council salaries or compensation, council investigations of city staff and city manager responsibilities and powers.

- “The parking dilemma,” which has been an issue involving residents getting parking tickets at their homes while city officials attempt to address residential parking problems, particularly those reported in relation to short-term resort rental homes.

- Water and sewer rates.

- Other issues of concern.

The public forum is scheduled 7 p.m., Nov. 19, in the Community Room located in the City Hall complex, 51 Bald Eagle Drive.
