— Tommy Haas, Germany's top-ranked tennis player, is doing better after contracting swine flu.

Haas told the Bild newspaper he had himself tested last week after developing flu symptoms that forced him to pull out of a tournament in Stockholm.

The 31-year-old Haas, who is ranked No. 17 in the world, says he was "shocked" to find out he had swine flu, but was relieved he could recover quickly because of his good physical condition.
