— Five Guys has opened its seventh location in Southwest Florida at the Gateway Shoppes in North Naples.

The newest eatery opened Oct. 26 at 13585 U.S. 41 N. It’s at the northern end of the shopping center closest to Old U.S. 41.

The chain specializes in ground beef burgers and fresh-cut fries.

The first restaurant opened in Arlington, Va., in 1986. Franchising started in 2002. There are two other locations in the Naples area, two in Cape Coral and two in Fort Myers.

Five Guys now has more than 450 locations in more than 30 states. It’s a favorite of the Obamas.

“We do have more locations coming up in Florida,” said Mary Nowinski, the company’s brand manager. “We’re expanding rapidly.”

Most of the restaurants are open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
