Free foreclosure workshop is Nov. 9
The Collier County Foreclosure Task Force is sponsoring a Free Foreclosure Workshop on Monday, Nov. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gulf Coast High School auditorium. The clinic is open to the public.
The Task Force is a grass-roots cooperative initiative involving Legal Aid Service of Collier County, the Collier County Bar Association, Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, Housing Development Corporation of SW Florida, Inc. - and a host of other public, private and non-profit agencies. The mission of the Task Force is to promote foreclosure prevention through education and intervention.
A panel of experts including attorneys, realtors, HUD certified credit and foreclosure counselors and other professionals will be present to assist the public and provide free, safe and reliable information concerning foreclosure related matters.
Topics to be addressed include loan modifications, short sales and bankruptcy.
The workshop will also feature information about job and career transition; starting or maintaining a small business; how to locate temporary assistance (including food and shelter); dealing with stress; transferring and enrollment issues for children in school; property searches and how to use the Clerk’s Web site; code enforcement issues and pre-purchase inspections, and much more.
