Head Coach: Ryan Bowen
Education: Bachelor’s degree, State University of New York at Cortland
How did you get interested in coaching? Through my mentor Bill Carufe, (former Community School of Naples head boys basketball coach).
Did you play your sport prior to becoming a coach? Yes I played College Baseball for two years at SUNY Cortland and played Football, Basketball and Baseball in high school.
How long have you been coaching? Seventh season.
2008 record: 13-6 (Golden Gate JV)
Best season: 18-1 Golden Gate JV 2007
Outlook for this year: I think we have a solid group of players and a lot of kids who play the game the right way. I am happy with our early season practices and the intensity. We might incur some growing pains, but that is every team that has a change (in coaches).
