Lee detectives name second suspect in North Fort Myers robbery

Lee County detectives released the name of the second suspect in a North Fort Myers bank robbery last week.

Daniel Jacob Cook, 26, of 7762 Bartholomew Dr., North Fort Myers, is wanted in last Monday's armed robbery of a Bank of America on U.S. 41. He is considered armed and dangerous, according to an agency release.

The other suspect in the case, Brandon Hughett, 25, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of robbery with a firearm.

No one was injured in the morning robbery. Witnesses described seeing two white men clad in black clothing, ski masks and gloves. The men escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

A pair of anonymous tips later pointed detectives to Hughett.

Those with information on the case should call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
