Lee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect Monday in a Thanksgiving Day shooting that left one dead and another injured.

Manuel Anthony Rodriguez, 29, has been charged with attempted second degree murder. Rodriguez turned himself in Monday.

Around 10 p.m. on Thursday deputies were called to the Harlem Heights Community Park, 7336 Concourse Blvd. in South Fort Myers, after receiving reports that two men had been shot, according to a press release. When they arrived, they found 28-year-old Alejandro Sanchez of Fort Myers dead.

The other victim, Herman Rodriguez, 33, was transported to a local hospital, where he remained Friday.

The incident is under investigation, according to a release from the Sheriff's Office.
